Dori and I came home on October 14. She is working well around the neighborhood, and we are gradually expanding our repertoire of places to go. Dori is bound and determined to make Elli enjoy playing with her. Elli is quite the grouch. Still, they get along fairly well and have had only minor scuffles.
Dori is fascinated with cats, and teaching her not to chase Casey and Inca is a challenge. She is learning, though. We do a regular exercise in which I give her the "rest" command while I pick up one of the cats. The cats don't like this much, but they will learn, too.
As always, park is something of a concern. Dori and I still do not have much of a routine developed, so it is going to take some time for a park schedule to develop. I try to remind myself that this is nothing I didn't go through with Elli in the beginning and that at least Dori has not had any accidents.
