Soap

I am now using my own soap rather than buying commercial soap. I use a melt and pour base and add essential oils. More articles about herbal soap and skin care are available from Healthy Skinspot.

I love the bath bomb recipe from Snowdrift Farm. It's fun, and it's a great way to get your oil fix on the go. I made these for a friend to use while she was traveling. She was able to reap the therapeutic benefits of the oils she needed without having to take time to whip them up herself or carry supplies with her.

I also occasionally add a bit of carrier and a few drops of essential oil to a bath for a treat or some therapeutic benefit. This is very much an issue of personal preference.

I tried making shampoo... I probably would have liked it better if I had been able to use a different soap recipe that had more coconut oil. It was extremely thin, and I ended up using too much no matter how hard I tried to cut back. I'll keep working on it.
